The historic Liverpool Medical Institution is a Grade II* listed building, situated in the Knowledge Quarter of Liverpool opposite the Metropolitan Cathedral and Hope Street.

Travelling to Liverpool Central Library, William Brown Street, Liverpool L38WE – Reception venue (Conference Room 2/Rooftop Terrace 4th floor), Thursday 13th June 4.00pm:

On foot – From the Student Accommodation at Liberty Prospect Point, 60 Moira Street, Liverpool L61BA. Walk onto Prescot Street (to the right) and continue for 480m., leaving behind you The Royal Liverpool University Hospital (and Daulby Street) on your left. Continue straight onto London Road and keep following London Road, taking a slight right turn. At the junction (with Lime Street, the Empire Theatre being on the corner on your left side), cross Lime street, continuing onto William Brown Street. Pass the statue and fountain, with the Walker Art Gallery on your right, and you will find the (Liverpool) Central Library on your right as well. You have arrived (ca. 15 min. walk of 1.12 kilometers in total).

Rail – The (Liverpool) Central Library is just a five-minute walk away from the nearest mainline station at Lime Street situated just opposite St. George’s Hall. Take the main exit and turn right onto Lime Street. After 140 m., at the Empire Theatre, turn left onto William Brown Street, with St. George’s Hall on your left. Pass the statue and fountain, with the Walker Art Gallery on your right, and you will then find the (Liverpool) Central Library on your right as well.

Coach – The National Express Coach Station is located at Liverpool One Bus Station, Canning Place, Liverpool L1 8LB, in the heart of Liverpool’s city centre. Once in Liverpool, follow signs for Lime Street Station, then follow directions to the (Liverpool) Central library, as described above. The shortest way would be past the John Lewis building and a roundabout onto Hanover Street. Then, after 320 m., on the corner of Salt House Tapas, turn left onto Paradise Street, a busy shopping street. After ca. 480 m. Paradise Street becomes Whitechapel. Continue until you reach St. John’s Gardens. Traverse St. John’s Gardens, going onto William Brown Street. You will find the (Liverpool) Central Library located between the World Museum and Walker Art Gallery.

Ferry – You can sail between Liverpool and Belfast, Liverpool and Dublin and Liverpool and the Isle of Man. Locally, Mersey Ferries operate services between Pier Head and Birkenhead/Wallasey on the Wirral. On foot – From the Student Accommodation at Liberty Prospect Point, 60 Moira Street, Liverpool L61BA, walk onto Prescot Street to the right, immediately after passing The Royal Liverpool University Hospital on your left, turn left onto Daulby Street. At the end of the street, turn left onto Pembroke Place. Take the next street on the right (Ashton Street). At the end of the street, turn right onto Brownlow Hill (for only 24 meters) and then turn left onto Mount Pleasant. Continue for 320 meters passing Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral on your left side. At the junction with Oxford Street, take a right continuing onto Mount Pleasant for 24 meters. You have arrived (ca. 15 min. walk of 1.12 kilometers in total).

Rail – Liberty Prospect Point is just a fourteen-minute walk away from the nearest mainline station at Lime Street. Take the main exit and turn right onto Lime Street. Then turn right again, after Liverpool Empire Theatre, onto London Road. After 320 meters continue onto London Road taking a slight left turn. Continue for 480 m. straight onto Prescot Street. The Liberty Prospect Point apartments are on the left side just past Papa John’s Pizza, Starbucks Coffee and a One Stop shop, directly opposite The Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
